BLACK LIGHTNING Static Shock May Possibly Appear The CWStatic Shock Could Probably Appear in Black Lightning. It looks like we may possibly get another superhero to join the likes of Black Lightning. Co showrunner Salim Akil has hinted at the possibility for Static Shock to appear alongside Cress Williamss Jefferson Pierce. We also might get to see some crossovers with the Arrowverse. Starting early next year, Black Lightning will be making its debut, however the show will not be set in the Arrowverse. So dont expect Arrow andor The Flash to suddenly show up in the series. One name that Salim has said who could go toe to toe with Black Lightning. That superhero is none other than Static Shock, a superhero who never got a chance to go into live action for a few years. Speaking with Comic. Book. Movie, he said, I love the idea of Static Shock, and in success, hopefully, well be able to pull other characters in that way. So Im holding out hope because I love that character. It would be pretty cool to see the character make his first live action appearance since he hasnt been used so far. Regarding the possibility of having Black Lightning crossing paths with heroes from the Arrowverse, Akil explained, The storytelling is a little bit more political. Its topical, and its a little grittier. It doesnt mean that down the road there wont be visits. So if the show is successful, a crossover could possibly happen.
